About Apex of Edisto
Apex of Edisto was founded by Robert D. Peeples and Jeff Hirschfeld
in 1995.
Robert built a
strong relationship
with the people of Edisto by
providing quality
service. He
still
works with Apex by sharing
his pest
control knowledge and as a
part
time, contract employee.
Today Apex is owned by Brad Drawdy who purchased the business
in January
of
2006.
Brad has 15 years in the pest control business. He
is a "Master Pest Control
Technician" certified by Clemson University.
He began his career
with Gressette
Pest Control Company in
Orangeburg, SC. He spent 8 years
with Gressette, four in the
Orangeburg
office and another four in the Charleston office.
In 2001 Brad went to work for Food Lion Distribution Center #3
in Elloree, SC as
the
Pest Control Manager. As you can imagine pest
management is critical
in food distribution
operations and Brad
was provided extensive training.
Wanting to return to the lowcountry, Brad bought Apex of Edisto
and he and
his wife
moved to Edisto where they are starting a family.
Brad loves the small town
feel of Edisto. He finds it similar in many
ways to Branchville where he was raised in a
Christian family with
small town values. Brad feels that Edisto has been a
part of
his entire life from growing up on the banks of the Edisto River to visiting
and vacationing here for nearly 40 years.
Apex of Edisto Pest Management, Inc. is a genuine, family owned
company
that operates
on honest old-fashioned service. We answer
all calls and show
up on time ready to meet
the customers’ pest control
needs. Our motto is
“Doing the Right Thing.” We mean it
and to us that
means we treat everyone
like we would our own family: fairly, honestly.

That attitude extends beyond business. If someone needs a helping
hand,
Brad is more
than willing to volunteer his time and services. A few
of his
volunteer jobs include walking
the beach every summer morning
with the
Turtle Patrol, keeping the turtle nests fire ant free. He is also a
certified firefighter volunteering with the Edisto Beach Fire Department.
He
writes monthly articles in the"Edisto News" about
pest issues on Edisto
and
explains what homeowners
can do to prevent
and solve infestations.
